World Car of the Year 2009

This is now the fifth time that the World Car of the Year award has been presented. Up to now, the shortlist has always been made up of ten vehicles, but this year there are eleven, as there was a tie for tenth place. A total of 50 journalists from all around the planet will be casting their vote for the WCotY. From the eleven models nominated, the panel will be selecting their Top Three. These will then go into a run-off with the outright winner being awarded the title at the New York Auto Show on 9th April.
