Fiat 500 Abarth - Red hot mini firecracker

Bye-bye, sweety pie. At last, the Fiat 500 for men is here!
With some 133 HP, appropriate tyres and scary spoilers all round, Fiat is already making the 500 Abarth a cult object before its introduction.

Given the notionally cute face and the GTI killer potential, it's well on the cards in future that the odd GTI devotee will take a rather closer look at the lines of the Fiat 500 standing beside him, before casting a contemptuous glare through the passenger window. There's not much by way of competition. Sure, the new Twingo RS could be deemed to be at roughly the same level in terms of performance and size. But the rather boring over-cosmopolitan design of the French car could cost it a few supporters.

At Fiat, they have got their eye more upon potential Mini punters; a car which is also surfing on a retro wave. It'll certainly work, given that there is hardly any difference in size compared to the Cooper S.

The 500 Abarth makes cult and lifestyle more affordable than the Mini does.

Apparently an even hotter 157 HP version is to follow. Bellissimo!
