Surfer Killed In Shark Attack Off Santa Barbara Coast

Description:A 39-year old man from Orcutt was killed Tuesday in a shark attack off Ocean Beach on Vandenberg AFB. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department received a report that a man, identified as Francisco Javier Solorio Jr., had been bit by a shark at 10:58 a.m. A friend, who was also surfing and witnessed the shark attack, swam over to assist Solorio victim pulling him out of the ocean and onto the beach, according to a sheriff's office press release.
