Fighting koalas shooed from highway by concerned motorist

A motorist got out of her car to stop traffic from hitting two koalas she had spotted brawling in the middle of a highway near Portland, Victoria, Australia, on 22 June, before making repeated attempts to shoo them to safety.

Sharon Brecely stopped her car when she noticed the pair grappling in the road and waved at a passing truck to alert its driver.

As seen in the footage, it wasn't an easy task to get them to safety.

Brecely can be heard shouting: "Oh you stupid bears!"

She later said: "My concern was to get them off the road as it is a busy log truck route."
