Alligator takes a dip in family's swimming pool

A family living in Florida's Sarasota County was greeted by an unexpected visitor recently.

Sarasota County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene where an alligator was found at in their swimming pool.

The animal, which measured between seven and eight feet, was eventually captured.

This video from Deputy Lori Clark shows the incident.

The sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post: "Luckily, these homeowners took a second look this morning before jumping in to kick off their Memorial Day."

Posting the video the sheriff's office also commented: "Because no two days on patrol are ever the same..."
