Authorities have reported heavy damage in its aftermath.

One of the casualties has popped up on social media all over the world.

Authorities in Australia spotted a dead shark quite far from the ocean after a powerful storm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services posted images of the shark on their Facebook page.

They wrote: "Think it's safe to go back in the water? Think again! You never know what lurks beneath the surface during a severe storm and what will wash up in the aftermath."
