Whitehaven Beach stretches over seven kilometres and boasts brilliant white silica sand that is among the purest in the world. The pristine beach's sand doesn't retain heat, which makes it comfortable to walk on even during the hottest months of the year. At its northern end is Hill Inlet, a beautiful inlet where the tide shifts the sand and water to create a beautiful fusion of colours.

The gorgeous beach in Queensland topped TripAdvisor's list for the fourth year in a row.

Travellers praised the glorious sands for offering "one of the best moments of my life" and for being simply "breathtaking". One TripAdvisor user said Whitehaven has the "whitest, softest sand ever," while another said it was "paradise untouched by development".

It wasn't the only beach in Queensland to make it onto the list as Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast was placed second, followed by Noosa Beach. Other sandy spots in Sydney, Western Australia and Norfolk Island also featured on the list.
