Snorkelling woman comes very close to shark attack in Florida

A scary video has emerged from the US of a swimmer having a close encounter with a shark off the coast of Florida.

A woman can be seen paddling her flippers through the water, when suddenly a curious shark comes up from the depths to investigate.

The woman remains blissfully unaware while her boyfriend's drone captured the moment on camera during their trip to West Palm Beach.

According to the Daily Star, David Diez uploaded the footage online and wrote: "While filming my girlfriend Helen with my drone a shark came close to tasting her.

"What I think happened was that the shark confused her fins for a fish, but then as soon as it realised it was a human it quickly backed off"The poor water visibility confused the shark.

"This is how most shark attacks happen in Florida, especially this time of year when sharks like the blacktip are migrating through the Florida coast following schools of fish."

Wonder if she'll get back in the water after watching the video.
