Some say they discovered the bees after being stung on the shoreline.

One expert told a local news station in Miami that bees washing up on the beach is unusual.

According to WBBH there are a few potential reasons that might explain why the insects have suddenly appeared.

A pesticide spray may have forced the bees into the water or it could have simply been a swarm that got tired and flew into the water.
