British tourist dies after bar fight on Costa del Sol

A British holidaymaker has died following a fight outside a bar at the popular tourist resort of Fuengirola on Spain's Costa del Sol.

The victim, who was not named, reportedly fell to the floor and hit the back of his head in the late-night incident.

According to the Daily Mail, the incident happened on Tuesday night at bar Entrehoras and the dead man was with a friend who received a minor injury.

Police are now hunting a man who fled the scene after the victim was pronounced dead.

The Daily Mirror reports that witnesses described the man who fled the pub as Germanic-looking.

A post-mortem is taking place to determine whether the death was caused as a result of a punch or influenced by other factors.

Spain's National Police confirmed that an investigation was taking place.
