The most unfortunate place names around the world

You may not think the name of where you live really matters, but what if it's something really embarrassing?

If you think Fort Dick and Dickeyville are bad, we're not even started yet.

Whiskey Dick Mountain in Washington is known for its amazing wildflowers which have equally bizarre names including 'Thompson's Paintbrush', 'Woolly-Pod Milk Vetch' and 'Hooker's Onion'.

Then we've got Dicktown, New Jersey, Bohners Lake, Wisconsin and Dickshooter, Idaho which was named after the first resident.

There's a New Erection, Virginia while in Texas you'll find Glasscock County and the first oil discovered in Glasscock was drilled by S.E.J Cox.

But the USA isn't the only country with some dodgy names flying around.

There's Long Dong in China, Pennis Wood in England, Semen in Bulgaria and unbelievably there's Wetwang in the UK as well.

Three places that share similar names but are opposite sides of the world are Cockplay in Scotland, Cockintake in England and Cockburn, Australia.

But why live in a place named after a penis when you can live in a place named after three penises? Because there is actually a place in Wales called Three Cocks... yes, really.
