The moment a cyclist went somersaulting through the air after crashing into a car while allegedly reading was caught on a driver's dashcam.

Motorist Anthony Ginn captured the collision on camera, and it shows the man apparently with his head down 'reading' a large piece of paper on the handlebars.

The incident occurred on a road in Warwickshire, and the cyclist was riding on the road despite the fact there was a cycle path to his left.

According to the Mirror, Anthony said: The cyclist was really aggressive and arrogant. He was trying to blame the car when I could clearly see that he wasn't paying attention to the road.

"When he got up off the floor he bent down and picked up a piece of paper. I think he had been reading something, maybe a map or some other document."

According to the Daily Mail, he added: I was amazed he wasn't more seriously hurt. He definitely hit his head. His bike was a mess and, although you can't really see it on the video, the car was badly damaged too.'

"He was gesticulating that the car was at fault and hadn't allowed him enough room to pass, but if he had his eyes on the road then it wouldn't have happened.

"We've got lots of fancy new cycle routes and there's a well-signed, official cycle path to the left that he could have used to avoid the traffic."
