Giving a new meaning to the phrase 'sleeping with the fishes' this is a sleepover like no other.

Airbnb are offering its users the chance to win a night in an underwater bedroom in Aquarium de Paris.

Brave visitors will be sleeping in three million litres of water in a tank suspended 10 metres deep.

The guests will be protected from the killer fish but only by a 360 degree transparent wall, so even though they won't be able to touch them, they'll definitely be able to see them.

This accommodation is not one for the faint hearted either, you won't just be spending the night with one or two sharks, there will be 35 of them swimming around, watching you sleep.

Guests will also have the chance to take a guided tour of the aquarium where they will be able to learn all about the fish that live there.

The experience is designed to give competition winners a unique, behind-the-scenes glimpse of life at the aquarium.

The guests will also be granted an insight into the life of sharks, learning more about how they live, why they're so misunderstood and also their importance to the ocean's eco system.

After the competition the beds and pillows will be removed morphing the one-of-a-kind structure into a hub for scientists and biologists to conduct research.

In October last year,, guests with nerves of steel were invited to spend a night in the Paris Catacombs with Airbnb for Halloween.

Airbnb is thought to have paid around $400,000 to gain overnight access to the tourist attraction and they held a competition to determine which lucky pair would get to spend a night there.
