Rare grey fox hunting in the snow
This beautiful video, taken at the Yellowstone National Park in the United States, captures a rare glimpse of a grey fox diving under the snow to hunt.
With extremely keen vision, hearing, and sense of smell, they normally hunt for cottontails, tree squirrels, voles, mice, wood rats, black rats, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates.

According to wildlifelandtrust.org, it is very rare to catch more than a glimpse of a grey fox, because they are usually only out from dusk until dawn.
They explore at a trotting pace, often through dense cover, pausing only to listen for prey or predators. Grey foxes are solitary most of the year, but while their cubs are young both parents share in caring care for them.
