Gospel choir surprises passengers with performance on plane

Delighted plane passengers captured the amazing moment a gospel choir performed a rendition of Oh Happy Day on a New Year's Eve flight.

The Virginia State University gospel group broke out into a rendition of the song as the KLM flight from Amsterdam to Washington DC prepared to land.

Flight attendants as well as passengers recorded the moment on their phones, and everybody looked on in awe at the amazing performance.

According to the Mirror, the choir were flying home after taking part in a European tour over the Christmas holidays.

The Daily Mail reports that they performed in Italy, Romania and Hungary as part of their tour.

The passengers on this plane got a free performance, and gave an enthusiastic round of applause at the end.
