These animals are characterised for their enormous, drooping brown noses and can be found on the island of Borneo.
9. Aye aye
Aye ayes are lemur that are native to the Republic of Madagascar. Not only do the bizarre creatures have alarming yellow eyes, but there's also rodent-like teeth and a shockingly long middle finger. The animals tap on trees to draw out bugs and other critters to feast on.

7. Horseshoe bat
This bat may not have been blessed with particularly sturdy limbs but they make up for it with their ability to fly.
6. Wolf spider
With three rows of eyes including an impressive bottom row of four eyes, these arachnids are definitely not fun to look at. While pregnant the spide carries the eggs on its abdomen so it can carry on hunting... creepy!
5. Anglerfish
Is it possible that there's a fish out there with an enormous toothy mouth, slimy brown scales and a predatory organ on top of its head? Yes! But don't panic because you're not likely to come across one as they like to stay at the bottom of the ocean and keep themselves to themselves.
4. Star-nosed mole
It may look like a regular mole from behind, but just wait until it turns around and you catch a glimpse of its very individual snout. The mole's star shaped nose is actually made up of 22 tiny, red appendages that provide a particular off putting view for us humans but are exceptionally handy for the moles as they make their way through the soil.
3. Monkfish
These guys are wet, wild and undeniably hideous. These flat, brown fish live off the coast of Europe and are capable of swallowing their prey whole... scary!
2. Naked mole rat
These hairless rats are instantly recognisable thanks to their two, very large, protruding front teeth. Also, thanks to a difference in the way pain is processed, these spooky looking animals don't feel pain the way most others do.
1. Blobfish
Now they may not look even remotely like a real animal, but trust us, they are. The miserable fish spends most of its time eating crustaceans off the coast of Australia and New Zealand.
