Three teenagers will apologise to residents and staff at a care home in Lancashire after attacking two alpacas.

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old will be carrying out community work and all three boys are set to visit Danesmoor Nursing Home to apologise for their actions.

Shocking footage of the attack on the animals, Bill and Ben, was released earlier this month and the teenagers were arrested last week, ITV News reports.

The video showed the alpacas, which have lived at the home for five years, being attacked with plastic chairs and a wooden bench.

The animals were not seriously hurt.

A Lancashire Police spokesman told Rossendale Free Press: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the community for all of their assistance.

"Danesmoor Nursing Home have been overwhelmed by the support that has been shown to them."
