Abandoned baby lion cub adopted by dog: Heartwarming video
There's nothing like a video of an animal caring for another animal to warm the heart - especially one of them is not only a baby but a different species of animal altogether. This nine-day-old baby lion was born in the Nama Zoo just north of the Gaza strip, but his mother abandoned him and his two siblings after she fell ill.
Zookeepers became desperate after the other two lions cubs died, so they turned to this dog, a mother of eight newborn puppies, to nurse the lion cub until he is able to feed on his own.
The zookeepers are hoping that the lion and the dog will form a lifelong, unbreakable friendship... Watch this space!
