Video: Rescued blind otter loves his food

Walter the otter narrowly escaped death when he was shot in British Colombia, Canada.

The animal was left blinded by a hunter in October but was rescued and re-homed at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, where he is undergoing rehabilitation.

His carers quickly discovered that he had a penchant for clams and shrimps - as this cute video shows.

Walter is not unique in using touch to sense his food. Sea otters have very sensitive paws which they use to feel for their food under water.
