New UNESCO World Heritage Sites for 2013
UNESCO has added 19 new places of "outstanding universal value" to its World Heritage list and the sites are as stunning as ever.
Mount Fuji in Japan, University of Coimbra in Portugal and India's Hill Forts of Rajasthan are just a few of the beautiful cultural and natural sites added to UNESCO's list of global treasures in 2013.
Europe's largest active volcano Mount Etna, Namibia's vast Namib Sand Sea and Poland and Ukraine's intriguing wooden churches (tserkvas) in the Carpathian region also made the list.
