An air hostess has been fired by Aeroflot airlines after a picture of her allegedly giving 'the finger' to passengers on a plane ended up on Twitter.

Tatiana Kozlenko uploaded the photo onto her personal page on Vkontakte, a popular Facebook-style social networking site in Russia.

But, to her dismay, the picture was posted on Twitter and then went viral when it was retweeted by hundreds of people.

The snap, obviously, did not go down well when it reached the computer screens of Aeroflot bosses.

According to the The Sun, Aeroflot announced the sacking on their Twitter page, writing: "Posting this photo shows Tatiana's attitude towards passengers and her duties. She acknowledged her fault when she spoke to her managers."

However, according to the Daily Star, Tatiana has denied the arm is hers, and even says the plane is not an Aeroflot aircraft.

The newspaper reports that she wrote on her personal page: "I don't consider myself guilty! The photo was added to my page, I only tagged myself on it.

"The hand isn't mine, the plane is not my company's! I don't understand what they spoil my life for! I'm asking you for help and support!"
