Travel two for one on a mini cruise to Holland

DFDS Seaways (0871 882 0885) is offering two tickets for the price of one on its mini cruises to the quaint town of Haarlem in the Netherlands. Mini cruises are from £89 per couple for two nights and once you arrive, you can visit the beautiful 17th-century buildings, green parks and picturesque canals winding through the town, which is just 20 minutes by coach from the port. There are also great shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and museums to explore. The offer includes two nights in an en-suite cabin and coach transfers to and from Haarlem. Departures are from Newcastle on 28 October, 30 November and 21 December.

Get 50 per cent off a luxury villa stay in Sicily

Think Sicily (0207 377 8518) has slashed its autumn prices for stays at La Rocca villa in one of Sicily's most charming towns, Cefalu, by 50 per cent. This takes the rental price to £1,525 from £3,100 for one-week stays between until 31 October for two adults. The villa has a panoramic pool with views of the sea and mountains, plus double rooms with balconies.
