Around 20 passengers were left stranded at Gatwick after a Thomson flight left three hours early.

The plane was bound for Goa, India, and Carol Ford and her family were among those left behind.

She told The Sun: "Thomson claimed they'd sent us a letter or email a week before to say the flight had changed, but we never received anything."

"The woman on the desk just said we could make our own way home. I've used Thomson for years and never had a problem, but they stink now."

Thomson has apologised for the mishap, and said it was in contact with the passengers who missed the flight to "discuss their options".
