An airline is using a revolutionary way to help its passengers fight jetlag on longhaul flights - with a new headset which sends light signals to the brain.

The Valkee bright light headset, which is due to be trialled by Finnair at the end of this month, is the latest innovation to help make long-haul flights less exhausting.

The airline says that that the headset is designed to emanate a bright light into the brain via the ear canal, targetting specific brain tissue.

If the headset is a success, the device could be made widely available.
