Neptunas bounce back with win, Kataja stun Karsiyaka

Neptunas Klaipeda bounced back from their maiden Basketball Champions League defeat by overcoming Rosa Radom 66-63, while Kataja Basket stunned Pinar Karsiyaka.

Lithuanian side Neptunas won their opening six matches in Group C but were beaten 66-61 by Ventspils in their previous outing.

They got back on track at home to Rosa, but only secured the win when Jerai Grant sunk three of four free throws in the final 15 seconds of a tense final quarter.

Neptunas moved to 6-1 and hang on to top spot ahead of ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, who overcame Muratbey Usak Sportif 83-69.

Finnish side Kataja claimed just their third win of the competition in Group B, Daniel Mullings contributing 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists as they upset Pinar Karsiyaka 84-66.

Le Mans Sarthe remain top of the section after comfortably seeing off Avtodor Saratov 95-78 and Umana Reyer Venezia kept pace with a 73-69 triumph against CSM CSU Oradea, while Khimik's woeful campaign continued as they went down 74-48 to Maccabi Rand Media.

Iberostar Tenerife regained top spot in Group D from Sidigas Avellino by beating Mega Leks 73-59, with Telenet Oostende downing Cibone 82-70 in the pool's other fixture.

EWE Baskets were unable to leapfrog third-placed Ventspils - who fell 85-81 to PAOK after overtime - in Group C as they suffered a 76-71 loss away at Openjobmetis Varese.
