McGregor's agent to 'entertain' WWE offer

Updated:

Conor McGregor's agent Audie Attar has claimed the UFC superstar would be willing to listen to an offer from WWE.

McGregor is a hugely popular figure in mixed martial arts, prompting suggestions professional wrestling may attempt to temporarily poach his services during a break from UFC.

Speaking to ESPN, Attar did not dismiss the possibility, which has received the endorsement of Paul Levesque, better known as wrestling star Triple H.

"I think it's all about business, man," Attar said. "If [WWE] is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people - which is me. We can have a conversation.

"I think ultimately Conor will say, 'Let me talk to my friend Benjamin [Franklin] to see how many of his friends he's bringing with him before we talk about what the obligations are.'"

Having become the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold two belts in different weight classes this month, the Irishman issued something of an ultimatum to UFC organisers over his desire for a bigger share of profits and a role in how the sport is run.
