Conor McGregor would take on a WWE fight for the right price, says manager

Updated:

The rumours have been going on as long as we can remember, but now it seems Conor McGregor really could move to WWE.

The two-weight UFC champion has long been linked with a switch but, until now, we've always taken the talk with a pinch of salt.

Now, though, the rumours are coming from someone worth listening to - McGregor's agent Audie Attar.

Attar told the 5ive Rounds podcast: "I think it's all about business. If they're going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it.

"We are here. Have their people call his people - which is me. We can have a conversation."

The Notorious certainly has the swagger and showmanship necessary for professional wrestling, as we saw when he taunted Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 by putting his hands behind his back during their lightweight fight.

WrestleMania takes place in April next year and appears to coincide with a window in McGregor's schedule, but Attar said there had been no direct contact from WWE so far about McGregor making an appearance - in the ring or otherwise.

Attar also addressed the possibility of a fight with Floyd Mayweather - and made it clear it was something he and McGregor are keen on.

"We are very interested if it's serious," Attar said. "Ultimately we've just got to see if it's real or not.

"Floyd may have been waiting to see if Conor's the real deal...and I think he's shown that he is for real.

"I don't know if Floyd's enjoying retirement life too much or it's just a PR stunt to keep the buzz going for what he has doing on in the boxing world. Ultimately we'll find out soon enough if it's real or not."
