The Los Angeles Rams are finally handing the reins over to number one overall pick Jared Goff following weeks of intense speculation.
The rookie quarterback will make his first career NFL start on Sunday when the Rams host the Miami Dolphins.
"He's ready, he's preparing, and doing well," head coach Jeff Fisher said on Tuesday. "He's anxious and confident."
Despite the Rams' upset win over the New York Jets on Sunday to snap a four-game losing streak, starting quarterback Case Keenum will take the back seat while the team gives Goff a go under center.
The Rams have had three games this season without a touchdown, but went 2-1 in those contests, including Sunday's win over the Jets.
Keenum has struggled recently after a 3-1 start, recording nine touchdowns to 11 interceptions and five fumbles with a 76.8 passer rating.
