Opening batsman KL Rahul has been added to the India squad for the forthcoming second Test against England.
Rahul has been struggling with a hamstring injury but returned this week to hit an 85-ball 76 for Karnataka against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy.
"I'm feeling good," he said after that match. "It's important to get some match practice.
"You can spend a lot of time in the gym, doing your rehab and training but you are never fully healed until you play a few games.
"That way, this game has helped me in gaining some confidence and get some time out in the middle.
"I'm happy with the way I batted. Even when I was fielding, I could move well and get back to being quick and agile."
Rahul has scored 562 runs in nine Tests for India, who drew with England in the opening fixture.
The second Test gets under way in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.
