Newcastle Knights have signed prop Josh Starling from Manly Sea Eagles on a one-year deal.
Starling, 26, has spent time at the Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs in his NRL career.
He played 20 matches in 2016 and follows Jamie Buhrer in joining the Knights from the Sea Eagles.
"Josh is a good competitor, a great trainer and does a lot of wonderful work in the community," Knights coach Nathan Brown said.
"These are all qualities on and off the field that are important to have around our young squad."
Knights are coming off a dreadful 2016 campaign that included just one win in 24 matches.
