Cousins fined $25,000 for mouthpiece-throwing tantrum

DeMarcus Cousin's temper got the better of him on Saturday, and it cost him.

The Sacramento Kings centre was fined $25,000 by the NBA for throwing his mouthpiece and going into the stands after fouling out in his team's 106-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, the league announced on Monday.

Cousins' toss came with just under 40 seconds remaining in Saturday's game when he drew his sixth foul.

Out of frustration, he tossed the mouthpiece into the stands and stormed into the aisle to retrieve it.
