Luke List and Chris Kirk charged into a share of the Sanderson Farms Championship lead after respective seven-under-par 65s in the third round.
List and Kirk carded almost identical rounds as they catapulted themselves atop the leaderboard by one stroke at 14 under on Saturday.
Seeking his first PGA Tour victory, List was flawless at the Country Club of Jackson, holing seven birdies without dropping a shot.
List opened his penultimate round with a birdie before gaining shots at the third, eighth, ninth, 11th, 14th and 15th holes for his first 54-hole lead or co-lead on the PGA Tour.

Fellow American Kirk almost went bogey-free but the four-time Tour victor dropped the fifth hole, sandwiched in between five birdies on the front nine.
Coming off consecutive top-10 finishes at the BMW Championship and Safeway Open, Kirk added another three birdies following the turn in Jackson, Mississippi.
Cody Gribble (67), Graham DeLaet (68) and Lucas Glover (68) are a stroke off the pace heading into Sunday's final round.
Grayson Murray - the overnight leader - surrendered his two-stroke advantage on Saturday after recording an even-par 72.
Murray is now tied for sixth, two strokes behind the leading pair alongside Cameron Smith (67), Greg Owen (70 and Seamus Power (70).
Defending champion, Peter Malnati (71), meanwhile is 10 shots off the pace in a tie for 51st.
