Mumm banned for Wales clash

Updated:

Australia flanker Dean Mumm will miss the Wallabies' clash against Wales after being handed a one-match ban for striking.

Mumm pleaded guilty after being cited for striking All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick in his team's 37-10 loss at Eden Park on Saturday.

He has been suspended for one match, a clash against Wales on November 5.

Mumm's early plea and "excellent disciplinary record" reduced his sanction.

The Wallabies were well beaten in a controversial encounter in Auckland, with the All Blacks running in six tries to one.
