BREAKING NEWS: Unstoppable All Blacks set Test winning record

Updated:

New Zealand set a record for the longest winning streak in tier-one Test rugby as they defeated Australia 37-10 at Eden Park on Saturday.

Steve Hansen's men completed a Bledisloe Cup clean sweep in style to make it 18 victories on the bounce.

That saw them carve out their own spot in the record books, having previously shared the landmark with South Africa.

The All Blacks, whose remarkable run started against the Wallabies on the same ground in August 2015, were not at their most fluent, but tries from Israel Dagg, Anton Lienert-Brown, TJ Perenara put them into a slender lead at half-time.

Julian Savea's double and a Dane Coles try sealed a place in history in the second half as the All Blacks' greater stamina told.

Hansen's world champions are five games short of tying their best tally of consecutive matches unbeaten.
