Edinburgh have bolstered their pack with the signing of Olympic gold medallist Viliame Mata, who was part of Fiji's victorious sevens team at Rio 2016.
A former rugby league player, 24-year-old Mata switched codes to join up with Ben Ryan's side in 2014 and scored a try in their 43-7 final victory over Great Britain, sealing a first medal of any colour for Fiji.
"My goal was to win the gold medal for Fiji and we got it," he said. "Now my goal is to perform well for my new team.
"I am excited about signing for Edinburgh Rugby and am looking forward to playing for the club.
"I am also excited about arriving in the city and meeting my new team-mates."
Mata's arrival follows that of fellow forwards Nick Beavon, Lewis Carmichael, Kevin Bryce and Viliami Fihaki.
"We are delighted to welcome Bill [Mata] to the club," said head coach Alan Solomons.
"He is a hugely talented player. He is big, powerful and explosive and I believe he will add huge value to the team."
Edinburgh kicked off their season with a 34-16 Pro12 defeat to Cardiff Blues.
