Cooper named in Wallabies team for New Zealand Test

Updated:

Quade Cooper will return to the Wallabies starting team after being named in the line-up to face the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup on Saturday.

Cooper will line up at five-eighth alongside Bernard Foley (inside centre) and Samu Kerevi (outside centre) as Australia seek their first win against the All Blacks in New Zealand since 2001.

The appearance will be Cooper's first Test match for Australia since last October against Uruguay at the Rugby World Cup.

It comes after the injuries sustained to other midfield options Matt Giteau, Matt Toomua and Rob Horne during last week's 42-8 loss in the Rugby Championship opener in Sydney

Lock Adam Coleman earns his first start for the Wallabies, having made his debut off the bench in the third Test against England in June.

There is the chance of a potential debut for Melbourne Rebels utility Reece Hodge, named on the bench alongside the likes of Tevita Kuridrani and Nick Phipps.
