If Team GB are looking to cut their travel costs for Tokyo 2020, they could do a lot worse than to send Laura Trott and Jason Kenny on their own.
The Olympic Games' new favourite couple have lit up the velodrome with five gold medals between them. That's more than all of Spain's Olympians...
Great Britain enjoyed another successful day on day 11, winning a combined nine more medals, with gold flowing on the track and in the sailing.
Britain's Giles Scott sealed his gold medal in sailing's Finn class on Tuesday, Britain's fifth consecutive Olympic victory in the competition.
Trott and Kenny added two of those nine medals, and in total the pair boast 10 Olympic golds and one silver (which Kenny won after losing out to Great Britain's Sir Chris Hoy in the sprint event at Beijing 2008).

I'd bet now on Jason Kenny and Laura Trott's 1st child winning Olympic gold. That kid will have super powers! ??#Rio2016

But, of course, in very British fashion, the fans are most enamoured by the low-key nature of our dominant champions.
Jason Kenny packing his kit into a Bag for Life just after winning his sixth gold medal is the most British thing I've ever seen

Jason Kenny and Laura Trott: it's not just the talent, it is how unassuming and thoroughly decent they are. What a lovely night.

Environmentally conscious Olympic champions? Trott and Kenny are truly our heroes.
