Manchester City all-but secured a place in the Champions League group stage with a 5-0 win over Steaua Bucharest - but it wasn't smooth sailing for Sergio Aguero, who missed two penalties.
Within minutes of the start, Pep Guardiola's side won themselves a penalty after Muniru Sulley chopped Raheem Sterling's legs in the box.
And it was Aguero who stepped up to drill the ball into the net - except he failed magnificently. More humiliation was around the corner for Aguero, who took the opportunity to regain face after Man City were awarded another penalty minutes later - only to miss again and lead Guardiola to do this...

That's right, that Argentinian striker missed two penalties within the space of 20 minutes spurring every single football fan to make the same exact joke...

Aguero's mishap echoed that of fellow Argentinian Lionel Messi, who famously missed a crucial penalty during the Copa America final between Argentina and Chile before bowing out of international football all together (side note: Messi has since reversed his decision to retire).
BREAKING: Messi returns to retirement after Aguero misses two penalties in less than 15 minutes. He says he had hope.

What a man Aguero is. Bottling all his pens to celebrate Messi coming back to the Argentine national team. Hero.

Nevertheless Man City ended the game on a high thanks to David Silva's early goal, a second half stunner from Manuel Agudo Nolito - oh and a hat trick from Aguero. Yep, he well and truly redeemed himself.
