Britain's Bryony Page clinches shock trampoline silver

The medal came as a surprise from a competitor who finished 10th in last year’s world championships.

Great Britain claimed an unexpected gymnastics medal in the women's trampoline as Bryony Page clinched silver at the Rio Olympic Arena.

The 25-year-old, who finished 10th at last year's trampoline world championships in Odense, Denmark, scored 56.040 from her routine to finish runner-up behind Canada's Rosannagh Maclennan.

Maclennan compiled a score of 56.465 to bag the gold medal, while world champion Dan Li of China sealed the final podium place with 55.885.
