People think all this rubbish Rio weather is making the place look like some very average British locations

Some Olympic athletes aren't having much luck with the weather in Rio as the day's rowing was cancelled for the second time and the tennis was delayed.

On the opening day rowers complained about the crazy wind whipping across the Lagoa which lead to the abandonment of Sunday's racing.

And the same has happened again as the wet weather was declared too bad to race in, meaning Team GB will have to wait a little longer to see whether they can claim a medal.

The rain also affected the tennis with the start of play being pushed back due to the soggy scenes.

Cue lots of volunteers desperately mopping up the court with towels.

Yes it might well be mid-winter in Rio right now but STILL, how can British weather ever be better than Brazil?

Some people have pointed out the rather unfortunate similarities to some fairly unexciting (no offence) British locations.

Spare a thought for those pour souls flying all that way and spending all that money to go to a place that looks like Scarborough. Sigh.
