#PhelpsFace has happened and Twitter has no chill

The Internet Can't Handle Phelps Face

By now we're all pretty familiar with Michael Phelps: US swimmer and the most decorated Olympian of all time.

But the one thing we can't quite get over is #PhelpsFace. In case you missed it - Phelps was caught on camera giving South African swimmer Chad Le Clos a less than impressed look as they were psyching themselves up for the 200m butterfly semi-final yesterday.

And right on cue, the Internet has gone mad for #PhelpsFace.

For many, it perfectly encapsulates the feeling when something just doesn't go your way.

For others, it's reminiscent of Star Wars. Is Phelps giving Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader a run for his money?

It truly is one of the best stink eyes we've seen in a long time.

For some it perfectly sums up how we feel on the crowded commute to work.

For others, it is just their Tuesday vibes.

Some pundits were loftier in their interpretation of #PhelpsFace - calling on the current US political climate or classic literature to help them.

Whatever the look signifies, it works because Phelps then swam himself into second place.
