Rio 2016: Journalist in bizarre rap tribute to Bolt

Usain Bolt's appearance at a Team Jamaica press conference took a surreal turn on Monday as a journalist sang a rap tribute to the spring star.

The boundaries between professionalism and fandom had already been blurred by one member of the media winning a signed pair of the 29-year-old's running shoes.

But if that was not enough, another press pack representative requested the use of the microphone to serenade the six-time Olympic gold medallist.

The journalist will have to wait until next week, when the men's individual and relay sprint finals are staged, to discover if his musical tribute inspires Bolt to victory.
