Man United v Everton: Wayne Rooney brought his adorable sons on the pitch and melted everyone's hearts

Updated:

Wayne Rooney's Manchester United testimonial against Everton was streamed on Facebook Live - a first in football history.

It was a big night for the 30-year-old striker, who celebrated 12 years of service at Old Trafford as he faced his boyhood club in their final pre-season friendly before the Community Shield match against Leicester at Wembley this weekend.

But of course fans were more interested in the adorable mini Rooneys who found themselves at the football pitch with their famous father.

The internet couldn't cope as Kai, Klay and Kit turned up in matching red outfits:

Kai, Rooney's eldest, was sitting in the dugout with the subs and he looked sooooooo adorable:

The game ended 0-0 but who cares?

The Rooneys made everyone's day and the game raised money for the Wayne Rooney Foundation - a charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
