Australia's athletes and officials were evacuated from their accommodation at the Olympic village in Rio on Friday due to a fire.
A tweet from the Australian team's official Twitter account confirmed a "small fire in the basement of the team building" had prompted the evacuation.
The fire brigade swiftly arrived on the scene and it was not long before the team were allowed to re-enter their temporary home.
Australia chef de mission Kitty Chiller had been highly critical of the Olympic village last weekend, listing "blocked toilets and leaking pipes" among a host of problems.
However, within 24 hours Chiller said "fantastic progress" had been made.
