Brendan Rodgers doesn't think losing to Lincoln Red Imps was embarrassing

Some people are saying it's even worse than when England lost to Iceland, but Brendan Rodgers isn't embarrassed by his Celtic side's 1-0 defeat against Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar.

The former Liverpool boss couldn't have wished for a worse start as Celtic travelled to Gibraltar only to be beaten on a plastic pitch in the shadow of an airport in the Champions League qualifier.

"There is no embarrassment," Rodgers said. "It was a tough game in tough conditions. We didn't take our chances, they took their chance.

"We dominated and created enough chances to score. Sometimes it can happen."

Well, we've found one tweet we're pretty sure will change his mind.

And here's what John Hartson thinks.

No embarrassment, Brendan. No embarrassment.
