Manly Sea Eagles star Dylan Walker is set to miss a month after hurting his right hand when punching his apartment door.
Walker, 21, has been fined 10,000 Australian dollars and issued a breach notice by the NRL club after Saturday's incident.
In a statement, the club said the centre met with Sea Eagles officials on Monday, admitting he struck out after having trouble opening the wooden front door to his apartment.
Walker was immediately taken to hospital for x-rays and treatment and will have further scans.
The Sea Eagles, who are 14th in the table, had the bye in round 18 and face the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday.
