Josh Donaldson hit a three-run homer in the Toronto Blue Jays' 6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers, the Miami Marlins beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-3 and the New York Yankees were 11-7 victors against the Cleveland Indians.
The Washington Nationals edged the New York Mets 3-2 and the Baltimore Orioles were 4-2 winners over the Los Angeles Angels.

Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz surprised by striking out a career-high 10 batters in seven scoreless innings against the White Sox. Foltynewicz gave up just five hits to improve to 3-3 with a 3.67 ERA.
