Sir Alex Ferguson led the tributes to Ryan Giggs as he left Manchester United after 29 years

As Ryan Giggs's leaving card was passed around the Manchester United office, after 29 years of service, some of his Old Trafford colleagues were moved to make public their best wishes for a player who was involved in 35 titles at Old Trafford.

Good luck to the person who has to buy him a leaving present... what do you get the guy that has won everything?

Perhaps the words of his contemporaries will be enough - with Sir Alex Ferguson leading the tributes to a man who now looks to take on the next chapter of his career in management away from the club he has become such an iconic figure at.

Giggs played alongside a number of the players he helped manage last season.

Players who have not been at United for long enough to play alongside him were clearly still in awe of his presence.

We think this was the best tribute from former team-mate Phil Neville.

What. A. Goal.
