Eric Cantona has launched a bid to become England manager and we sort of wish he was serious

If you want an England manager who promises "never to lose against a small frozen island where the assistant coach is a dentist" then it looks like Eric Cantona is your man.

The former Manchester United manager has launched a campaign to be Roy Hodgson's successor and, while it's meant to be tongue in cheek, it's actually quite persuasive.

Given the current list of favourites includes the likes of Gareth Southgate, Glen Hoddle and Sam Allardyce, the former France star surely couldn't be a worse option.

He certainly seems to be getting plenty of support.
