Benji Marshall has revealed that his representatives have opened talks with rival NRL clubs but the half-back is keen to remain with the St George Illawarra Dragons.
The former New Zealand captain's contract expires at the end of the season and no agreement has been reached over a new deal.
Marshall has ruled out a spell in the Super League, but his future is up in the air after the Dragons were unable to lure Luke Keary to the franchise.
"My management has [talked to other clubs]. I really want to stay in the NRL, so I can't see myself going overseas, I've pretty much ruled that out," the playmaker told Fox Sports.
"I'm looking to stay. If it's not the Dragons, hopefully it's somewhere else."
